Radio: the mass medium of the 20th century that paved the way for pop, techno and noise and was still able to survive long after the advent of television. The series “radioPHØNIX” by Timo Kreuser & PHØNIX16 in collaboration with 24 radio stations from around the world, present eight installations that address phenomena of radiophonic practice and shed light on the social, political, and cultural impact of radio. The two performances hosted by Radialsystem are focussed around BEATRÍZ Ferreyra’s and KARLHEINZ Stockhausen’s experimental approaches.
